Position: RN Vent Unit Manager
Location: Uniondale, NY
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $60 per hour

About the Role

Townhouse Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Vent Unit Manager to lead clinical operations within our ventilator unit. This leadership role is ideal for a skilled Registered Nurse who excels in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment and is committed to delivering exceptional, resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the ventilator nursing unit, ensuring high-quality clinical care

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate CNAs, LPNs, and RNs, including performance and competency assessments

  • Provide clinical leadership in medical, behavioral, and crisis management situations

  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop and implement individualized care plans

  • Partner closely with the Director of Nursing to align unit goals with facility objectives

  • Conduct resident assessments and actively participate in care planning

  • Communicate effectively with physicians and families regarding resident status and progress

  • Ensure compliance with facility policies and all state and federal regulations

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and professional work environment

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (required)

  • Minimum 2 years of Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience

  • Previous RN leadership or management experience strongly preferred

  • Ventilator unit experience preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment, organizational, and communication skills

  • Sigma experience preferred
