Job Summary

The on-call RN is responsible for coordinating care, providing direct care/support for hospice patients and their families in the home and various nursing facility settings. YOU DO NOT CARRY PHONES-triage nurse handles calls, you only go out if needed. Located in Broward area. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

On-call support after agency hours for hospice patients/families with regard to comfort, symptom management, medication management, DME needs, admissions, discharges, proper documentation and coordination of care between hospice interdisciplinary team & facilities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure by FL State Board of Nursing
  • Self starter, excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, dependable, autonomous worker, current clinical skills, flexible, professional and tactful.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Holds valid driver's license and current drivers insurance coverage.
