  • Position Summary
    • Utilizing the Nursing Process of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating, the Staff Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care; managing assigned personnel, and promoting collaboration among the multi-disciplinary health care team. The RN maintains open communication and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation.

    • Associates Degree in Nursing - Required
  • Experience
    • 1-2 Years Surgical Nursing - Preferred
  • License & Certification
    • Registered Nursing License with State of Practice - Required
    • Professional Certification - Required upon hire or within one year of eligibility
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required for Holding Area and CVOR

    • Takes initiative to review unit/departmental customer or co-worker satisfaction scores as posted in unit. Promotes measures to improve customer/coworker satisfaction scores. Consistently demonstrates behaviors that promote excellent patient experiences.
    • Provide excellent patient care. Keeps family informed. Rounds on team and assists as needed.
    • Documents and scans all refill requests, new prescriptions, phone calls, laboratory and diagnostic results, medical equipment/supply orders, referrals, notifications, problems, appointments, contact information, and medical records to the EMR

Education Associate Degree in Nursing - Required Experience 1-2 Years Nursing - Required License & Certification Registered Nurse License with State of Practice – Required Core Job Functions Utilize nursing process per the scope and standards for oncology nursing practice Documents all patient related clinical information and assesses patient for special needs and plans appropriate intervention. Comprehensive review of the patient's medical history is performed and documented. Utilizes Teach Back technique to assess understanding of education. Assesses needs for discharge and the best way the patient may be provided instruction. Utilizes appropriate written communication, education packets and/or audio-video instructions. Assists Outpatient Infusion Manager, Professional Development Coordinator/Educators in planning and presenting unit-based in-services. Completes annual competencies for Infusion administration and Nursing. Responds to patient requests and proactively addresses patient needs using a multi and interdisciplinary approach. Works with the unit team to address patient satisfaction scores and works with unit leadership to develop and implement action plans.
