A healthcare professional is needed to provide specialized nursing support in an elementary school setting located in Laurens, SC. This full-time contract position begins ASAP and continues through May 22, 2026, with a typical workweek of about 40 hours. The daily schedule is approximately 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
This role focuses on delivering direct nursing care to two exceptional students within a classroom environment. Responsibilities include managing G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and suctioning as required. You will be supported by the classroom teacher and two aides, working collaboratively to ensure each child's health and safety needs are met throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialized nursing care, including G-tube feeding and tracheostomy care
- Monitoring students’ health and responding promptly to medical needs
- Collaborating with educational staff to support the well-being of all students in the classroom
- Maintaining accurate health records and following care protocols
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Current and valid RN licensure
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing, particularly with children requiring complex medical care
- Proficiency in managing G-tube and tracheostomy care
