Key Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership & Resident Care

As a Registered Nurse, you are a vital clinical leader responsible for overseeing resident care, ensuring clinical accuracy, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. Your essential duties include:

  • Clinical Care Delivery: Provide compassionate, high-quality, hands-on nursing care to our residents, adhering strictly to physician orders and established care plans.

  • Medication & Treatment Safety: Accurately and safely administer medications and perform treatments, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and facility protocols.

  • Order Management & Pharmacy Liaison: Efficiently review and accurately transcribe physician's orders to the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR). You will promptly communicate new and updated orders to the pharmacy to ensure timely and continuous care.

  • Documentation Excellence: Accurately and efficiently complete daily electronic documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) regarding resident status, care provided, and any changes in condition, maintaining meticulous records.

  • Team Collaboration & Supervision: Work collaboratively with the entire interdisciplinary care team (LPNs, CNAs, Therapy) to ensure the highest standards of care are met. Provide clinical guidance and supervision to nursing aides on your assigned unit.

  • Emergency Response: Respond swiftly and effectively to resident emergencies, providing immediate stabilization and initiating appropriate protocols.

  • Facility Support: Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing (DON), contributing to the overall smooth operation of the facility.

Qualifications

  • License: You must hold a Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin in good standing.

  • Experience: Prior experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or sub-acute setting is a significant plus.
