Responsibilities:

• Various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s or patient’s needs
• Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing
• Must be able to assist with bathing
• Must be able to assist with toileting
• Must be comfortable around bodily fluids such as urine, vomit, blood, saliva etc.
• Must be able to assist with transferring residents from wheel chair to beds, etc.
• Must be willing to work with older adults with special needs and may not be able to communicate effectively
• Must be willing to work with adults with cognitive impairments
• Must be willing to assist with grooming, hygiene, activities of daily living

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid HCA or Caregiving experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for (sometimes) a long period
