Pre-Employment Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current nursing license in the state of Alabama. 
  • Two years of PACU, ICU, or ER experience is desired. 
  • Must have current CPR certification.  
  • ACLS certification is required and may be obtained during the first 90 days of employment.
  • Experience in Orthopedics and outpatient surgery preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have an ability to work compatibly with all physicians and staff. 

  • Must receive positive physician reviews. 

  • Possess strong organizational skills and a clear understanding of the importance of efficiency and cost effectiveness in an outpatient surgery center.

  • Possess the knowledge and clinical skills to perform the job duties as OR Coordinator.

  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and anesthetic agents and complications is required. 

  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of all procedures performed in the Surgery Center.
