RN Weekend - Madison Hospital Acute Surgical Care 4th FL - PT - 3rd Shift

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.


Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
License, Certification and/or Registration: Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required.BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient populatiion.

Experience:  New RN graduates accepted.
Additional Skill/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.

Acts as collaborative member of the clinic team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. The RN Apprentice Employee Relations Specialist works as a liaison between human resources, nursing directors, nursing apprentices, and the colleges and universities. Provides consultation, coaching, and guidance to all levels of Managers and Directors on all aspects of employee performance and conduct, including corrective action, terminations, and the consistent application of policies and procedures. This role is responsible for conducting impartial, thorough, and well-documented investigations related to alleged policy violations and Title VII matters, and for recommending appropriate resolutions to employee relations issues. The RN Apprentice Employee Relations Specialist collaborates closely with leadership to ensure organizational policies and clearly understood, effectively communicated, and consistently enforced. Works closely with apprentice manager, nursing leadership, and key stakeholders regarding training and education of the nursing apprenticeship program. Responsibilities also include supporting the clinical rotations between mentors and apprenticeships. Assist the manager of apprentice program with day-to-day processes of the program with clear and progressive records of program progression, promotions, tuition payments, mentor stipends, agreements, rounding, and competencies for the program.
