School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Apple Valley, California

A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Oro Grande, CA. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, with a possibility of extension into the extended school year and a high chance of renewal.

The ideal candidate will be credentialed and skilled in school nursing, case management, and providing health support within educational environments. This position involves managing a caseload that includes offering virtual support to students, ensuring their health needs are met effectively within the school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health assessments and provide nursing care to students in a K-12 school setting.
  • Manage case loads with attention to individual student health plans and needs.
  • Deliver virtual nursing support and guidance as required.
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate student care.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with school health policies.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid or necessary interventions.
  • Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; preference given to candidates already credentialed for school nursing.
  • Experience in school nursing and case management highly desirable.
  • Ability to provide virtual health support and effectively engage with students remotely.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with K-12 school health protocols and policies.
