Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.7. Responsibilities POSITION SUMMARY: a. Performs the primary function of a professional nurse in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients. Responsible for interacting with hospital staff and/or ancillary departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolutions. This position will, during his/her shift operate without Unit Clerk, Respiratory Therapy, Stroke Team, OB Support, Code Blue support, Phlebotomy and House Supervisor. FED Registered Nurses are responsible for, but not limited to Ventilator Management, Lab Draws including ABGs, placing phone calls and receiving/answering phone calls, paging on call resources, Responding/Activating Code Blue and Housekeeping as needed. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills. This position summary contains the most relevant duties and responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.
