Registered Nurse School Setting - Blue Springs, MO

A full-time RN position is available for a floating school nurse supporting a K-12 setting in Blue Springs, MO. This contract role runs through the current school year, ending May 28th, and requires flexibility with schedules and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Float across multiple schools as the general health room nurse, providing care for students from Pre-K through 12th grade
  • Manage your own health room independently after a two-week training period with an experienced nurse
  • Adapt daily schedules that vary between approximately 7:00 AM–2:30 PM and 9:00 AM–4:30 PM depending on the school level
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and charting through computerized systems
  • Provide consistent communication and coordination regarding student health needs, including handling emergencies when needed

Qualifications:

  • Current and clear RN license in Missouri with no disciplinary actions (verified through Nursys)
  • Pediatric nursing experience required, ideally from ICU, ER, or school nursing settings
  • Recent practical experience working in pediatric care—new graduates will not be considered
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient with technology and electronic charting systems
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and school environments
