Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Per Diem to join our team at Corrections Center of NW Ohio in Stryker, Ohio.


Responsibilities

  • Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation and health education

  • Works closely with the BHD and/or BHPs in identifying appropriate treatment plans for at-risk patients, or as needed
  • Intermittently attends morning huddle calls, when indicated and/or when there are high-risk patients that require multidisciplinary treatment planning and collaboration
  • Obtains patient histories, follows up with medication verification efforts, reviews pertinent medical history and develops patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format
  • Provides support in coordinating the activities of patient care and/or support staff
  • Participates in developing specific mental health policies and procedures, when indicated

Qualifications

  • Current state license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Two (2) years of experience in psychiatric and/or correctional healthcare setting
  • Proficient with electronic medical records
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
