Central New York Psychiatric Center (CNYPC) has immediate job opportunities for Registered Nurses (RN), previous psychiatric experience is not required. Positions are available for evening shifts which include working every other weekend. This position is at Central New York Psychiatric Center's Five Points Satellite unit located on the grounds of Five Points Correction Facility in Seneca County.


Nurses at CNYPC are vital members of a multi-disciplinary treatment team focused on providing compassionate care through patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness including:

  • Coordinating and providing nursing care
  • Conducting nursing assessments
  • Preparing, implementing, and modifying nursing care plans
  • Providing health teaching, counseling, and education to individuals and families
  • Implementing infection control protocols and procedures
  • Observing and recording individuals symptoms and care; reporting responses to medications or changes in health


CNYPC, a Joint Commission-accredited Office of Mental Health (OMH) facility, provides inpatient and outpatient treatment and rehabilitation to adults who have been diagnosed with serious mental illness, residential and community support programs to children and adolescents diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances, and inpatient treatment to individuals who are currently involved with the Criminal Justice System. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Case Manager interested in working with injured workers and worker’s compensation cases to cover Rochester, NY and surrounding communities to include Bloomfield, Palmyra, Geneva, and Auburn . This role is a home-based position with travel, up to 2 hours one-way (4 hours round-trip), to doctors’ offices, hospitals, and various other locations.
