About the unit Corewell Lenox EC is a small free-standing Emergency Department and is a part of the Corewell Grosse Pointe Hospital. The Lenox EC is a full-service emergency department, with 24/7 lab and imaging services including CT and Ultrasound, and is equipped to handle all types of emergency’s. There are 8 rooms, including 2 trauma bays, plus 2 triage bays and 5-6 hallway spots. The department is staffed 24/7 with Board Certified Emergency Physicians, in addition to emergency trained mid-level providers, nurses, and technicians. About Lenox Emergency Center Staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, the Corewell Emergency Center in Lenox offers the same high-quality, comprehensive emergency care you would expect from other Corewell Health Beaumont locations. The one and only difference is that this center is located right in your neighborhood, not physically connected to a hospital. Close integration and collaboration with Beaumont’s hospitals enables efficient transitions to an inpatient setting if needed. Scope of work The RN, under the ANA scope of practice utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care by incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. The RN partners with and utilizes patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care and develops teaching strategies for patient/family; documents education and learning appropriately in health record. Qualifications Associates or Diploma in Nursing Required Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years if new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire/transfer from one of the following organizations - American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke. ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer. TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer. ENPC within 15 months of hire/transfer Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years Prefer RN experience. RN Med Surg Progressive Surgical

About the unit 6 South is a 32-bed surgical unit with a primary focus on post-operative care of the abdominal surgery patient. You will work very closely with the surgeons and surgical residents. The unit fosters good teamwork, a friendly atmosphere, good collaborative relationship with the multidisciplinary team members of case management, PT/OT, Dieticians and social work. The unit fosters open communication, professional autonomy, a multicultural atmosphere, certified preceptors, well-structured atmosphere, and will enable you to have a large variety of patients to allow for great nursing experience and development of assessment skills. The unit has 8 telemetry beds for patients requiring cardiac monitoring post-surgery. RN Med Surg Neuro

About the unit Neuroscience nurses provide care for patient with a various illness of the brain and nervous system in this 32-bed neuro-medical unit. Patient diagnosis include but are not limited to CVA, TIA’s, Parkinson’s disease, Seizures, Multiple sclerosis and other Neurological disorders. Nurses will also be caring for other general medical surgical patients with various illnesses in this area. The unit has 12 telemetry beds for patients requiring close cardiac and neurological monitoring. About the unit 6 North is a 32-bed surgical floor that offers a great learning environment fostered by our team of exceptional nurses. 6 North offers experiences that are normally not found in Med-Surg clinical rotation. The unit has a focus on surgical conditions including urology procedures, major and minor abdominal surgeries, ENT, bariatric and pulmonary surgeries, peripheral vascular procedures as well as other general surgical post-op needs. The unit has 8 telemetry beds for patients requiring cardiac monitoring. It is a fast-paced environment that you will never find boring.
