Registered Nurse – Women’s Health

CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse – Women’s Health to provide full-time services at  JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST (JBNJ) located in NEW JERSEY. This is an excellent opportunity for a Women’s Health RN to support our military service members and their families as a federal civilian contractor. 

This federal position offers stable daytime hours, excellent benefits, no nights/weekends, and the opportunity to work in a well-supported clinical environment serving our military community. 

Pay: $48.00/hr. 

Health & Wellness : $4.57/hr

Vacation: 80 hrs 

 Sick leave: 56 hours 

Holidays: 11 paid holidays per year 

Availability: Full-Time  

Shift:  daytime clinic hours (Mon–Fri) 

Contract Length: 1-year with strong possibility of extension 

 

Qualifications: 

Education : 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field. 
  • Graduate from a college/university accredited by NLNAC or CCNE. 

Certifications: 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required. 

Experience: 

  • Minimum two (2) years of RN experience, preferably in Obstetrics or a Women’s Health clinic setting. 
  • Proficiency in computer operations, word processing, data entry, and automated medical records. 

Licensure / Registration: 

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license. 
  • Preferably one (1) year of experience in a Women’s Health setting. 

Board Certification: 

  • RN board certification preferred.

Responsibilities: 

General RN Duties: 

  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a broad interdisciplinary healthcare team. 
  • Facilitate optimal clinical outcomes focusing on quality, safety, and cost effectiveness. 
  • Ensure compliance with established standards of nursing care, policies, and procedures. 
  • Conduct physical exams and complete detailed health histories. 
  • Provide health promotion, counseling, patient education, and telephone/in-person triage. 
  • Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, initiate/maintain IVs, and perform required interventions. 
  • Recognize urgent/emergent signs and respond appropriately as part of the Clinical Care Team. 
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team; serve as patient advocate. 
  • Place referrals, schedule specialty care, and coordinate follow-up. 
  • Train/orient newly assigned RNs, LPNs, and ancillary staff to unit procedures and standards. 
  • Participate in research, peer reviews, and quality improvement activities. 
  • Maintain all licensure, certifications, CEUs, and mandatory trainings. 
  • Perform additional RN duties in Primary Care Clinics as needed, including cross-coverage. 

 Duties: 

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to women in an outpatient setting, including gynecologic care and coordination of disease management. 
  • Monitor patient treatment adherence, maintain dysplasia registries, and manage relevant clinical data. 
  • Conduct in-person and telephone triage, determining appropriate care settings (ER, clinic, home). 
  • Prescribe and communicate treatment plans based on established protocols; provide patient teaching. 
  • Set up and assist with procedures; operate specialized equipment (colposcope, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, etc.). 
  • Facilitate specialty referrals and ensure appropriate follow-up. 
  • Promote evidence-based education to support self-care, adherence, and optimal health outcomes. 
  • Identify, collect, interpret, and report outcome data per Air Force/DoD guidelines. 
  • Train healthcare team members on WH-specific guidelines, protocols, and management processes. 
  • Provide cross-coverage in Pediatrics or Family Health if needed due to staffing shortages.
