50 bed ED which includes our vertical treatment area that is called the JET (joint evaluation and treatment).
Level 3 trauma center
Chest pain, CHF and stroke accredited through TJC and received a gold plus level (the highest level there is) for all 3 programs.

Here’s What You Need

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – within 90 days required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
PALS - within 90 days of hire
TNCC - within 12 months of hire
ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse – within 12 months of hire
1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
At least 1 year of ER or Critical Care experience preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Job Summary and Qualifications As an RN in the Dallas Valve clinic, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the nurse practice act, as it applies to the outcomes and processes in the Clinic. You will communicate with patients and be scheduling, testing, and helping patients get ready for the procedures. What You Will Do In This Role: Plan, coordinate and implement the care of the valve patient in the outpatient setting. Scope of the role includes acting as a liasion with the physicians, patient/families and ancillary departments. Assessment of financial, medical and social resources of current and potential valve program patients in conjunction with the research team. Coordination of information flow among the medical, nursing, financial, and research staff as appropriate. Development and implement a teaching plan with the patient and family. To include lab values, medication overview and diagnosis related information. Assist the research team in the coordination of patient charts, diagnostic studies and other applicable information per research protocol Other duties as assigned What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing Associate Degree okay to start, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care.
