A full-time Certified School Nurse (CSN) position is available at a K-12 school serving high school students with behavioral and emotional challenges in Cicero, IL. This contract role spans the current school year (CSY) with a commitment of 32.5 hours per week, focusing on direct support for students' health needs within the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to high school students with behavioral and emotional issues.
- Collaborate with educational and support staff to create a safe and healthy school experience.
- Utilize CSN license to manage student health plans, medication administration, and emergency care.
- Coordinate with paraprofessionals, Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), CNAs, or LPNs who provide supervision and additional support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) license with Professional Educator License (PEL) required.
- Previous experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with behavioral or emotional challenges, is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
Location & Schedule:
- Assignment at one school in Cicero, IL.
- Full-time position (32.5 hours/week), Monday through Friday.
- Contract duration: immediate start through end of school year (EOSY).
