A full-time Certified School Nurse (CSN) opportunity is available within a K-12 school serving high school students with behavioral and emotional challenges. This contract role, located in Chicago, IL, is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the school year (EOSY). The position involves working 32.5 hours per week at a single school site.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care and health services to high school students exhibiting behavioral and emotional difficulties.
Collaborate with school staff and mental health professionals to promote student well-being.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with individual care plans.
Monitor and manage health records, ensuring compliance with legal and district policies.
Offer supervision and guidance to assigned paraprofessionals (Para, RBT, CNA, or LPN) as applicable.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist in developing individualized healthcare plans.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Valid Certified School Nurse (CSN) license with Professional Educator License (PEL) mandatory.
Registered Nurse (RN) certification preferred but not required if CSN license is held.
Experience working with students who have behavioral and emotional challenges is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
