Position Overview

Allure of Zion is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead all nursing operations within our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and quality outcomes. The position is supported by an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to ensure strong day-to-day operational coverage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, manage, and oversee all nursing department operations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Lead staffing, scheduling, performance management, and staff development

  • Drive quality assurance, survey preparedness, and plan of correction execution

  • Monitor clinical documentation, medication administration, and treatment protocols

  • Collaborate with MDS, QAA, and interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes

  • Oversee infection control practices, education, and staff competency programs

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois RN license

  • Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership experience (DON or ADON preferred)

  • CPR certification

  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, clinical standards, and survey processes

  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
