Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Duties:

  • Lead and ensure the delivery of high-quality care and services in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Direct the center's Infection Control process and participate in the QA/CQI process.
  • Manage preadmission assessments, ensuring they are completed promptly.
  • Supervise, educate, and coach nursing and caregiving staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Participate in state/federal nursing home survey processes, writing and implementing plans of correction as needed.
  • Develop and implement in-service and training programs to enhance staff skills.
  • Maintain clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a current Registered Nurse license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare setting, preferably as an ADON.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a customer service focus.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing skills and the ability to understand the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered.
