Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing with daily nursing operations

  • Support compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations

  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, STNAs)

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and performance management

  • Monitor clinical outcomes, audits, and quality measures

  • Participate in survey preparedness, surveys, and plans of correction

  • Ensure accurate documentation and care plan implementation

  • Promote a culture of quality care and teamwork


Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications

  • Active Ohio RN license (Required)

  • Previous ADON, Charge Nurse, or Nursing Leadership experience preferred

  • Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care experience required

  • Knowledge of CMS regulations, surveys, and compliance standards

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
