Wound Care Nurse RN needed for a Long Term Care skilled nursing facility. Full-time role with health insurance, PTO, 401k, and education support.
Position Summary:
The Wound Care RN provides specialized wound care services in a long-term care facility, focusing on skin integrity, pressure injury prevention, and wound healing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and monitor pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and skin breakdown
Develop, implement, and update wound care treatment plans
Perform wound treatments and dressing changes in accordance with clinical guidelines
Track wound healing progress and report changes to providers
Collaborate with RN staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate wound documentation and regulatory compliance
Educate nursing staff on wound prevention and best practices
Support infection control and quality assurance programs
Qualifications:
Current New York State RN license (required)
Wound Care certification preferred (WCC, CWCN, or similar)
Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual salary range: $85,000–$95,000
