Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organizations vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

What you will do in this role:

Assess the patients condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patients medical record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patients medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

What qualifications you will need:

Registered Nurse
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree

Job Summary and Qualifications We are seeking a dynamic RN to join our Peri-operative team. As an RN in OR setting you will collaborate with other members of the health care team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs. What you will do in this role: Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situation Foster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patients Assess and monitor patients’ medical status while in the OR Assess patient’s condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing care Ensure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment Keep the operating room sterilized Review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols Communicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of care *Shift is 4 10s Mon-Thur 8:30-7am What qualifications you will need: Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date Minimum 1year previous perioperative experience CNOR preferred PALS-American Heart Association PALS Provider issued card required within 6 months HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital.
