Role Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports physicians and advanced practice providers by delivering high-quality clinical care and assisting with patient flow in a busy primary care setting. This role contributes to positive patient experiences by ensuring efficient clinical operations, accurate documentation, and responsive communication.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in accordance with NYS LPN licensure and applicable laws and regulations

• Obtain and document vital signs, prepare examination rooms, and clean and sterilize equipment following established protocols

• Manage clinical phone calls, including prescription refills, test results, and patient inquiries, per practice guidelines

• Prepare patient records and documentation in advance of provider visits to support efficient care delivery

• Participate in scheduled team meetings to support collaboration, clarify workflows, and address patient care needs

Required Skills and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program

• Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Minimum of 0-1 year of clinical nursing experience in a healthcare setting

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a primary care or outpatient medical office setting

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

Location, Travel and Shift Requirements

• Onsite at Cayuga Primary Care - Ithaca Mall
  40 Catherwood Road, Ithaca, NY 14850

• Part Time, approximately 3 days per week, between 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, based on staff rotation

• No weekends or holidays required

• 0% travel required for this role

Pay Range Disclosure

Standard rate of $24.04 - $32.21 per hour, plus benefits.
