Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Associate Degree in Nursing

 

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

 

BLS

 

One of the following:

  • Current Alabama RN license
  • Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

 

Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate provider card (ONS) 

 

National Chemo Certification (OCS/ONCC) within 24 months of placement in position.

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

BSN/MS degree in Nursing

 

1 year of experience in infusion and/or chemotherapy

 

Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification:

 

National Chemo Certification (OCS/ONCC)

Responsibilities

Plans, implements, coordinates, and evaluates comprehensive care for designated patients to ensure quality of care and continuity of care delivery. Performs chemotherapy and infusion administration, physician assistance, information gathering, patient education, supply maintenance, and consultation.
