Responsibilities

As a CNA, you will care for guests under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse. Some responsibilities include:

Take and record vital signs
Measure and record height and weight, intake and output
Care for the guests’ environment
Assist with bathing, grooming and toileting
Assist with eating and hydration
Observe guests’ skin when administering care and reports changes to licensed nurse; provide skin care as needed
Meet guests’ mental health and social service needs

Qualifications

High school graduate/GED
CNA certification

About the unit Our sub-acute floor is a 59 bed Medicare unit that has residents with multiple clinical issues including CHF, dehydration, cellulites, diabetes, DVT, and stable cardiac related issues needing monitoring. Nurses work closely with a variety of health care professionals including doctors, social work, dieticians, PT/OT, hospice, and spiritual support. Our sub-acute unit offers a well-rounded opportunity for learning, professional growth and personal satisfaction. Our Chronic Care floor is a 60 bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and long-term care unit and is a great place to learn basic med-surg, I.V. therapy & wound treatments nursing skills. Nurses on this unit along with host of healthcare professionals work to provide and implement the best treatment plan for residents. This fast paced and busy unit provide a great atmosphere for PT/OT residents to be motivated and reach their goals. Our Dementia Care floor is a 60 bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit.
