Responsibilities

You Can Expect:

4 10-hour shifts – outpatient only

1:1 APP to MD/DO

14 patients/day with flexible daily schedule as long as patient quota met

Call 1 major holiday per year and 3-5 weekends per year

Qualifications

Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, and Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN)

Required Experience: Minimum of five (5+) years of progressive experience in area of specialization

Required Certifications and Licensures: Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority. Maintains BLS and ACLS Certifications. Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse. Nationally recognized certification in field of specialization

Job Description The Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse with advanced training as a physician extender. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician to provide medical services within protocols established by the supervising physician.
