CNA Driver

 

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible CNA Driver to join our skilled nursing facility team. As a CNA Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our residents to medical appointments, activities, and other destinations. Additionally, you will provide basic nursing care and assistance as needed, helping to maintain the comfort and well-being of our residents. This position is perfect for a Certified Nursing Assistant who is dedicated to providing high-quality care and enjoys working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Safe Transportation: Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to and from appointments, outings, and activities using facility vehicles.

·       Resident Assistance: Assist residents with getting in and out of vehicles, ensuring they are comfortable and secure during transport.

·       Basic Care: Perform CNA duties as needed, including but not limited to monitoring vital signs, assisting with personal hygiene, and providing other essential care services.

·       Resident Interaction: Engage with residents in a friendly and compassionate manner, ensuring they feel valued and cared for throughout their journey.

·       Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the facility vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and meet all safety standards. Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff.

·       Documentation: Accurately document transportation activities and any care provided during transit, following facility protocols and procedures.

·       Compliance: Adhere to all facility policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and resident care.

 

Qualifications:

·       Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): Must hold a current CNA certification in the state of [State Name].

·       Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience driving larger vehicles such as vans is a plus.

·       CPR/First Aid Certification: Must be current or willing to obtain.

·       Experience: Previous experience working in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.

·       Compassionate Caregiver: Strong interpersonal skills, a caring demeanor, and the ability to work effectively with elderly or disabled residents.

·       Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to resident safety and adherence to transportation and care standards.

 

Physical Requirements:

·       Ability to lift and assist residents in and out of vehicles.

·       Must be able to drive for extended periods and be physically capable of performing CNA duties.

·       Ability to perform tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
