Position Summary: 

As a Mobile Director of Nursing in a SNF setting, you are expected to provide complete supervision and management for the nursing department to facilities as assigned.  You exercise discretion and independent judgment and are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties, including the ability to make independent choices, free from immediate direction or supervision. You are responsible for carrying out the operational core responsibilities and policies of the nursing department, established by the company and facility.

 

Education/Qualifications: 

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the states practiced in.  

  • Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of recent Director of Nursing experience with a history of excellent quality and survey outcomes.  

  • Must understand federal, state, rules & regulations, and survey practices in your assigned area.  

  • Must be able to travel, including overnight stays.

Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of the specific patient populations. Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health system and facility goals and strategic plans. What you will do Demonstrates ability to assess patient clinical ands psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population served in the Critical Care/Telemetry units/departments (see unit specific competencies and equipment checklists). Partners with patients and families to develop, implement and evaluate plan of care, treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient. Assesses and incorporates evidence-based standards of practice. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in the coordination care. Facilitates safe patient transitions to the next care setting as part of plan of care. Demonstrates a sense of urgency to facilitate patient throughput to assure patients receive consistent, competent, and ethical care.
