Provide specialized support to a middle school student with mild to moderate disabilities, focusing on empowering communication and self-advocacy skills. This full-time contract opportunity is based in Andover, MN, designed for professionals certified in Teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) in Pennsylvania.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach self-advocacy, expressive and receptive language, vocabulary, listening, transition skills, and use of hearing assistive technology tailored to student needs.
- Evaluate academic and behavioral progress to monitor and adjust instructional strategies.
- Collaborate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education support.
- Utilize situational approaches and data-driven methods to optimize student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current TDHH certification valid in Pennsylvania is required.
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate hearing impairments or related disabilities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and adaptive teaching skills.
