The Behavioral Health Observation RN will also appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with our EmPATH team and various community partners involved in developing Community Treatment plans.

EmPATH is a dedicated healing environment separate from the emergency department, staffed with a multidisciplinary psychiatric team providing Emergency, Psychiatric, Assessment, Treatment, and Healing to those initially presenting to emergency rooms with mental health urgencies.

Schedule

Part-time | 48 hours every two weeks
12-hour overnight shift | 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Every third weekend | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Holiday rotation

Pay and Benefits

Pay based on experience and degree
- Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $41.34 per hour
- Bachelor’s in nursing starting at $42.37 per hour
- Master’s in nursing starting at $43.43 per hour
- Pay range: $41.34 - $62.01 per hour

Qualifications

Graduate from a nursing program required; Bachelors or Masters in Nursing preferred.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing must be obtained within three years of hire.
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required.
4 years minimum experience as a psychiatric or chemical dependency registered nurse preferred.
Knowledge of at least the following areas: abuse issues, chemical dependency, adult/adolescent/child clinical assessments.
Knowledge of crisis theory and intervention, psychiatric diagnosis, psychotropic medications, including use and side effects and knowledge of community resources and intervention.
American Nurses Association (ANA) Psychiatric – Mental Health Certification preferred.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) initial and on-going training required and provided.

To be eligible for the hiring and relocation bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full or part time benefited position. To be eligible for the relocation bonus, you must currently reside more than 50 miles away from St. Cloud Hospital and relocate to within 30 miles of it.
