Pediatric School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Chicopee, Massachusetts

Provide critical healthcare support in a dynamic K-12 school environment serving students with diverse needs. This contract role offers opportunities to deliver nursing care both in the health room and in one-on-one settings, helping ensure students well-being during school hours and special events.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct nursing care and health assessments to students K-12, including those with a variety of disabilities
  • Fill in for health room coverage and 1:1 nursing support as needed, including during absences or for scheduled school events
  • Collaborate with school staff to implement health plans and support individualized student care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with relevant policies and regulations
  • Respond effectively to health emergencies and provide education on health promotion within the school community

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts RN license is required
  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse in school or pediatric settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage diverse medical needs and respond calmly in urgent situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
  • Availability for full-time coverage a few times per month during the school year contract period

Location & Schedule: This position supports schools in the vicinity of Granby, Holyoke, and Northampton, MA, with the primary assignment coordinated near South Hadley, MA. The contract runs from ASAP through June 20, 2026.
