Position Overview:
The Director of Nursing (DON) will oversee all aspects of nursing services, including staff management, compliance, and quality of care. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong clinical background and a passion for long-term care.

Director of Nursing Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring excellent clinical care.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee resident care plans, ensuring they meet individual needs and comply with standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes.
  • Manage nursing department budgets, staffing schedules, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of infection control.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.

Director of Nursing Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in New Jersey.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing management experience, preferably in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, including state and federal guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
