Willis Knighton Bossier 3 North, med/surg/tele floor, is looking for a motivated, organized registered nurse with exceptional assessment and communication skills. Do you want to improve your organizational and critical thinking skills? Working a med/surg/tele floor will give you this opportunity. Prior hospital nursing experience is recommended, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. This is your opportunity to obtain experience and prepare yourself for specialty units. The average nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with the assistance of a nurse aide. The patient population is a mixture of medical, surgical, and cardiac patients. Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: delegation of appropriate tasks to ancillary staff, comprehensive assessments and documentation, communicating with physicians and case managers, patient education, and accurate medication administration. All RNs receive a comprehensive hospital and unit-specific orientation where they are provided 1:1 nursing instruction with a preceptor. A sign-on bonus is offered for a 2-year ($12,000) or a 3-year ($20,000) agreement. Working a med/surg/tele floor will prepare you to provide care to patients in specialty areas such as critical care or ER.
