Caregiver – Mesquite, TX (Weekday Schedule | Immediate Hire)

Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM–7:00 PM

Embark Care is seeking a dependable and experienced caregiver for a long-term client in Mesquite, TX. This is a critical case requiring someone who is reliable, patient, and confident in providing care to client with dementia.

This position serves a single client who:

Uses a wheelchair
Lives alone, has dementia and cannot be left alone
Is hard of hearing, forgetful, and may become confused
Requires continuous supervision, redirection, and safety support

Schedule:

Monday through Friday
10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Unpaid 30-minute lunch break from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Long-term, stable hours with consistent routine

Pay and Employment Details

Hourly rate: $15/hr
Paid semi-monthly via direct deposit
Full-time employees are eligible for benefits

Responsibilities

Personal Care:

Bathing, showering, grooming, dressing
Toileting and incontinence care
Transfer assistance and wheelchair support
Medication reminders
Fall prevention and safety monitoring

Homemaking and Routine Support:

Meal preparation
Light housekeeping (sweeping, mopping, dishes, general tidy-up)
Laundry and bed linen changes
Trash removal
Checking mail

Supervision and Redirection:

Continuous supervision due to dementia
Patient redirection and reassurance
Companionship and engagement

Requirements

Experience working with individuals with dementia (required)
Must be dependable and punctual
Ability to provide transfer assistance
Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance
Must pass a background check
Prior caregiving experience required
