Our 23-bed Medical-Surgical Unit is seeking a dedicated and flexible PRN Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients with a wide variety of medical and postsurgical needs. This role is ideal for a skilled RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a supportive, team-focused group of clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across diverse diagnoses and acuity levels.
Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and wound care.
Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EMR.
Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge needs, and health management.
Respond effectively to rapid changes in patient condition and assist during emergencies.
Support unit flow, admissions, and discharges.

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing.
Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred; Med-Surg experience strongly preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities.
Flexibility to work varying shifts based on unit needs

The floor accepts patients between the intensive care unit (ICU) and the general med surg floor.
