Your Role As a Staff Nurse

  • Patient Care: Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients on the Medical-Surgical unit.
  • Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
