SYNERGY HomeCare is seeking compassionate and motivated nursing students who want to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact in the lives of clients receiving care at home.
This role is ideal for nursing students looking to strengthen their clinical skills, build confidence with patient interaction, and earn flexible income while attending school.
You will work one-on-one with clients in their homes providing non-medical support, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Nursing student caregivers may assist with:

Personal Care & Safety

  • Assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing

  • Mobility and transfer support

  • Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition

Basic Health-Related Tasks (non-medical)

  • Taking and recording basic vitals (when applicable)

  • Medication reminders

  • Support for chronic conditions (dementia, mobility limitations, etc.)

Daily Living Activities

  • Meal preparation

  • Light housekeeping

  • Laundry

  • Grocery shopping or errands 

Companionship & Emotional Support

  • Engaging clients in conversation, activities, or exercises

  • Providing a positive, supportive presence

Documentation

  • Accurately documenting care provided

  • Communicating changes to the office staff or supervising RN 

This role is ideal for nursing students who:

  • Are passionate about caregiving and patient interaction

  • Want flexible hours that work around clinical schedules

  • Seek hands-on, real-world experience in patient care

  • Are dependable, professional, and compassionate

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (RN, LPN/LVN, ADN, BSN)

  • CPR/BLS certification (REQUIRED) 

  • Valid driver’s license AND reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass background check and TB screening (REQUIRED)

  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and assist with mobility
