Qualifications & Details:

To qualify for the position, you will need:

Certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) - Kansas
A caring & loving personality and demeanor
The ability to work your scheduled shift
The ability to read, write & speak English

As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) you are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures. You will have all of the training, support, tools & equipment you need to provide the highest degree of quality care. Our team of nursing care professionals & mentors will be by your side every day, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and Administrator.

As a CMA, you will work under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to:

Pass Medication
Perform routine tasks in patient care
Assist residents in activities of daily living
Document and chart your care for each resident
Provide care and compassion to foster the resident's physical and emotional well-being
Follow infection control procedures
Protect your residents’ rights

Observe patients and document changes in their condition. Gather samples for analysis. Ensure equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned. Uphold all health and safety standards. Respond to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify patient needs. Medication Aide Requirements: Must be a Certified Medication Aide AND Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing in state employed, or able to become state certified in the state you are employed in. Minimum 1 year experience as a CMA. Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required. Completion of orientation required by company policy. Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment. Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire. Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
