Certified Medication Aide Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must have an active Certified Medication Aide Certification

  • Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required

  • Administer residents’ medication according to their physician’s orders

  • Supervise residents who self-administer medication

  • Report any noted changes in resident’s physical or mental condition to Nursing staff

  • Ability to work independently or part of a group

  • Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines

  • Other duties as assigned by Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, or Administrator

Certified Medication Aide Schedule & Benefits:

  • Earn $19.00–$21.50/hour (based on experience) — with opportunities to increase your rate through waived benefits (+$2/hour) and shift differentials.

The Certified Medication Aide / Med Tech will: Administer and record the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable state/federal regulations. Job Description We are searching for Part Time and PRN new team members for All Shifts Responsible for supervision of self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines as directed by the LPN/LVN/RN and/or the Assisted Living Director/Health and Wellness Director. Count and sign on approved form, all narcotics with approved personnel before accepting medication keys. Contact a supervisor immediately with discrepancies. Order all necessary medication and treatments from appropriate pharmacy or notify responsible party when supply is no less than 7 days. Document appropriate information in the daily log as required and notify supervisor of all concerns. Answer calls and assist residents with needs as assigned. Responsible for daily cleaning of all medicine carts at end of shift and restocking as needed. Responsible for weekly deep cleaning of all med carts. Attend and participate in staff training and in-services.
