Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient neurology care under physician supervision and collaboration.
Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological conditions, with an emphasis on stroke qualifications and acute neurological care.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurologists, hospitalists, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in patient and family education to support care plans and recovery.
Document all patient interactions, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of neurology best practices and stroke guidelines.

Qualifications:

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New York State.
Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with hospitalist/inpatient experience.
Neurology and/or hospitalist experience strongly preferred.
Stroke care qualification or willingness to obtain.
Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
