Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Orthopedic Department at Baptist Clay and Baptist North office. This opening is a full-time opportunity.
This position is for the Baptist Clay and Baptist North Orthopedic office. Candidate must be willing to travel to the Baptist Clay and Baptist North office. The experienced candidate will eventually support all doctors in the office. This position is clinical, performing back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, preparing x-rays and answering patients questions via inbasket. Experience with Orthopedic is a plus but not required. Specialty experience, including Neurosurgery, Spine and Pain or Cardiology, may be considered as well.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Provides nursing assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
