Required Skills:

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current TX Nursing License
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS

Required Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU.
Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
Excellent teaching skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior.

Description Medical City Denton RN PACU Seasonal PRN 60 per hour plus shift differentials Program runs September 21, 2025 - April 4, 2026 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS · All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. · Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. · Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. · During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). · Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off.
