A full-time nursing position is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at a high school located in Union City, NJ. This contract role offers a consistent schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM during the school year, providing an opportunity to engage with students in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to students, including assessments, first aid, medication administration, and health education.
Collaborate with school staff and parents to manage student health plans and promote wellness.
Assist in monitoring and managing communicable diseases within the school setting.
Support bus riding health protocols to ensure student safety during transportation.
Maintain accurate health records and comply with state and federal regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
Experience working in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of adolescent health issues and confidentiality requirements.
