The BridgeWay is looking for a dynamic behavioral health professional who is dedicated and passionate about providing quality services and care to our community. Under the direction of the Director of Assessment and Referral, the Intake RN assures smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital.  Receives incoming admission inquiry calls, assesses patients for admission, and makes appropriate referrals. The Intake RN helps streamline the patient experience by completing the necessary assessments and medical documentation moving the patient through the admission process to the unit. The RN is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes in accordance with the missions of the hospital.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Certifications:   

  • Currently Nursing license.
  • Two years clinical experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
  • CPI and CPR required (offered onsite).

 

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Ability to assess the physical, emotion, and psychological needs of patients.
  2. Ability to determine suitability of admission to the hospital based on clinical and financial criteria.
  3. Ability to make independent and responsible decisions.
  4. Good knowledge of admitting and insurance verification.
  5. Must have ability to work under stressful circumstances with frequent interruptions.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to communicate with patients, families, referral sources, community agencies, and staff. 
  7. Knowledge of telephone etiquette is required.
  8. Must be able to interact with patients, physicians, families and hospital personnel in a professional manner.
  9. Work is of medium demand, requiring heavy telephone and personal contact with patients, referral sources, community agencies, and insurance companies.

RN- Intensive Care Unit

Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) will assume responsibility and accountability for the adult and geriatric patients undergoing continuous monitoring for cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, and/or psychiatric diagnoses. The CCU RN will often be active participants in bedside procedures with physicians. He/She will be responsible for certain specialty equipment and procedures such as managing arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol, and performing peritoneal dialysis. As a CCU RN, he/she will be part of the Rapid Response Team and will assist hospital staff in assessing, treating and transferring (if needed) deteriorating patients to the appropriate unit. He/She will provide appropriate care and comfort needs for the well-being of the patients by assessing, administering medications as ordered and educating patients and family members about active treatment plans and goals. Overview 2-South is an adult psychiatric unit. The Adult Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of adult psychiatric patients with mental health diagnoses. The RN will complete a psychiatric nursing assessment on each assigned patient admitted to the unit. The Adult Psychiatric RN identifies, and documents patient needs based on subjective and objective data. RN- Cardiac Stepdown

Overview The Cardiac Stepdown Unit is staffed by the Registered Nurse (RN) who provides care for a wide variety of patients including heart failure, acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and stable post interventional cardiology procedure patients. The RN cares for post vascular surgery patients as well as those requiring non-invasive ventilators, antiarrhythmic titrated drips, vasoactive cardiac drips, as well as insulin drips. The RN works closely with all of Conway Regional’s Cardiologists and Hospitalists.
