This role offers a high degree of autonomy while working within a supportive, team-based environment caring for diverse patient populations in a mixed MICU/SICU setting, including Level II trauma patients. Additional service line includes the CCU. Role & Responsibilities: Provide independent, high-level critical care to acutely ill patients. Perform H&Ps from the ED, floor consultations, and daily rounding. Manage procedures including central line placement, arterial lines, and intubations. Write admission orders, coordinate care plans, and engage in patient/family discussions. Collaborate with attending physicians and consulting teams. Respond to hospital-wide emergencies, including rapid responses, sepsis alerts, stroke alerts, and code blues—providing assessment, resuscitation, and appropriate disposition. Participate in 24/7 coverage with in-house attending support during daytime hours and eICU resources available overnight.
