What You Will Do
  • Function as an expert resource on breastfeeding issues for patients, families, community, staff, and physicians.
  • Serve as a clinical expert for lactation issues based on evidence.
  • Produce documentation that initiates, follows and revises patient’s plan of care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes that promote continuity of care.
  • Review patient medications for potential complications associated with breastfeeding.
  • Assess outpatients for symptoms of jaundice and breastfeeding problems
  • Participate in breast pump rental and retail sales within the Breastfeeding Resource Center
