About This Unit: Our unit offers 29 LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery & post-partum) beds plus 2 triage rooms. We have 1 water birth room and 2 OR suites. We are pleased to provide single room care, which provides patients with excellent care all within the same room throughout their stay. We average 200+ deliveries a month and manage many outpatients daily for antenatal testing. Daily census is 18 mom and baby couplets. Our NICU is newly remodeled and have expanded our care to higher risk patients (28 weeks gestational age). Job Expectations: The RN serves as the key leader of the interdependent team and is responsible to achieve patient and unit outcomes by coordinating the care for a group of patients. This includes: comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs; identification of outcomes based on the needs' assessment; establishing the plan of care; monitoring the progress; and modification of the plan of care as needed.
