Registered Nurse School Setting in Saint Charles, IL

A part-time RN position is available for a school-based role supporting a preschool student with complex medical needs during the full school year. This contract-to-hire opportunity is based in Saint Charles, IL, serving one school site within the local district.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to a 1:1 preschool student requiring tracheostomy and ventilator support
• Assist with daily health management and emergency interventions as needed
• Safely transport the student from home to the preschool building by walking from the assigned elementary school and accompanying on the bus
• Collaborate closely with assigned paraeducators or other health support staff (e.g., RBT, CNA, LPN) who provide supervision
• Document nursing care and contribute to the development and implementation of the students individualized health plan

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license; LPNs will not be considered
• Experience in pediatric nursing or school health settings preferred
• Competence with tracheostomy and ventilator care
• Ability to manage bus riding and walking transportation safely
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Schedule:

• 18 hours per week, Monday through Thursday
• Full school year commitment
