This position offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide specialized support in a high school setting. The role involves delivering skilled nursing care to a student requiring vent/trach assistance while traveling to and from school. Working onsite in Greensburg, PA, this part-time contract assignment spans the school year and offers a meaningful way to impact a students educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to a student with complex medical needs, including vent/trach management
  • Accompany and support the student during transportation via school bus
  • Monitor the students health status and respond to medical needs during school days
  • Collaborate with educators and caregivers to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of nursing interventions

Qualifications:

  • Valid LPN/LVN or RN license in Pennsylvania is required
  • Demonstrated experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care
  • Ability to travel with the student on the bus to and from school
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to part-time hours, primarily Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Assignment Details:

  • Location: High school in Greensburg, PA
  • Schedule: Part-time, approximately 14 hours per week, Monday and Friday onsite
  • Duration: Contract covering the current school year
